Scoring Program for Symptom Inventories: Version 2
for Windows (SPSI: V2)

Kenneth D. Gadow, Ph.D., Joyce Sprafkin, Ph.D. and Joseph Gartner, M.D.

This unlimited-use Windows program is designed to assist the clinician to score the Child and Adolescent Symptom Inventories-4: Early Childhood Inventory-4 Parent Checklist, Early Childhood Inventory-4 Teacher Checklist, Child Symptom Inventory-4 Parent Checklist, Child Symptom Inventory-4 Teacher Checklist, Adolescent Symptom Inventory-4 Parent Checklist, Adolescent Symptom Inventory-4 Teacher Checklist, and Youth's Inventory-4.  To use this program, item responses are entered from a previously administered paper version of the checklist.  When patients and their caregivers complete the checklist prior to the clinic evaluation, results can be used to organize the interview around DSM-IV disorders by focusing on relevant symptoms, thus saving valuable time.

The score sheet appears on the screen in an easy-to-read format designed to reduce data entry errors.  Simply use the mouse (point and click) or numeric keypad (for rapid entry) to enter the raw score for each item.  The software allows the user to return to previous answers to make corrections.  The software automatically alerts the user if items were left incomplete.

Report

The software automatically scores the responses and generates a long (5-page) or short (3-page report) which includes the following:
