Q: Who
should use the BEC?
A: The BEC
is designed for professionals who are involved in the assessment of emotional
and behavioral disorders.

Q: How
do I register to use the BEC?
A: Select Register from the
Visiting BEC menu, complete the registration form, and press submit. You will
receive your registration and log-on information within 24-hours.

Q:
How do I know if I am a qualified user?
A:
Qualified users are determined by several factors; i.e., education,
certification, and experience. In general, only licensed professionals in
psychology, psychiatry, pediatrics, social work, and related disciplines have
the necessary training to administer and interpret BEC symptom inventories.

Q:
Why does the BEC require information on completed education level?
A: The
products offered are professional instruments and have certain user
qualifications. You will be asked to provide information about your education
and professional background. This individual information is used for this
purpose and this purpose only. (Please sees our
Privacy Policy
for details).

Q:
How does my account function?

assign, and track tests as well as review completed reports. Users can review
documentation, manuals, and sample reports for all products that are offered by
BEC.

Q:
After I register, how long will it take for my account to be activated?
A: Your
account will be activated within 24 hours.

Q: How
do I determine which symptom inventories are appropriate for my organization?
A: To facilitate your use of
symptom inventories on the BEC, we have gone to considerable lengths to make
test manuals and other documentation available free of charge. This will help
you to make an informed decision about which instruments are most appropriate
for your individual situation. (Registered users can access this documentation
through their account.)

Q: What
are the costs of symptom inventories on BEC?
A: The
pricing of symptom inventories is very competitive, and the time savings are
significant. Pricing and quantity discounts are listed by test within your
account.

Q: How
do I purchase symptom inventories?
A: Tests
are purchased from within your account using either a major credit card or by
filling out a credit application for purchase order processing. Credit approvals
for purchase order requests are usually completed within 48-hours. Once
approved, you will be electronically invoiced immediately following each order.

Q: How
does someone complete a symptom inventory?
A: In
order for an individual to complete a symptom inventory, he or she must either
click the active URL link in the automatic notification e-mail you sent them
from your account, or log-on to
www.checkmateplus.com,
click "Take Assessment" and advance to the Tester ID page. If the individual
enters the test-taking environment through the URL link in their notification,
the required IDs will automatically be entered. If the individual enters through
the website, they will be required to supply the Tester ID you assigned them in
addition to your Administrator ID. This will route your test taker directly to
the instrument you would like them to complete.

Q: How
long does it take a test taker to complete a symptom inventory?
A: The
number of items in the symptom inventories varies depending of the age of the
individual being evaluated and the number of disorders for which the measure was
developed. The time ranges from 5 minutes to 20 minutes, with an average time of
15 minutes. Time estimates are provided for each symptom inventory in the
Product Catalog.

Q: What
happens if a testing session is interrupted or terminated for some reason?
A: The test taker's answers are maintained from the point of the last answer
page that was submitted.
Q: What
should test takers do if their testing session is interrupted or terminated
before they finish a symptom inventory?
A: The
test taker should log back into the testing environment using the Tester ID and
Administrator ID you have provided them. They should do this as soon as possible
because a Tester ID will expire 24-hours after a symptom inventory is started.
This procedure is included in the Directions page for all symptom inventories.
Q: If
my test taker's session is expired, what happens?
A: You
will be automatically notified of such an event in your account. You will then
have the ability to "reactivate" the Tester ID and the test taker can then
complete the symptom inventory.
Q: What happens if
a test taker stops entering data?
A: If no
mouse clicks are detected within an hour, the session is terminated. The Tester
ID remains active, allowing for resumption of the session at any time before the
24-hour expiration. Previously submitted responses are maintained.
Q: What occurs
after a test taker completes a symptom inventory and submits it?
A: The
test taker's responses are sent to the scoring server for scoring.
Q: How
fast are the symptom inventory results returned to my account?
A: A
symptom inventory is scored and the report generated within moments (usually
less than three minutes under most conditions). The report is then posted in the
Test Administrator's account. The report will be in PDF format. You will need
Adobe Acrobat to read it. If you do not yet have Adobe Acrobat installed on your
machine, here is
information about how to obtain it.

Q: What
kind of information is returned to me after a test taker completes a symptom
inventory?
A: Symptom
inventory reports are comprehensive, and sample reports are available in your
account. These reports may be downloaded to print, saved to hard drive or disk,
sent as e-mail attachments, or accessed at any time by simply clicking the
Tester ID in your account.
Q: How
does the BEC ensure the confidentiality of my registration information?
A:
Registration information is used to determine your qualifications to administer
the symptom inventories. None of this information will be sold or redistributed,
but group data may be compiled and redistributed or sold in the form of
research, special industry reports, and BEC usage pattern studies. The BEC may
occasionally send e-mail to all Test Administrators with news or announcements.
You can stop this by notifying us of your desire.

Q: How
does the BEC ensure the security of the symptom inventory data?
A: For
obvious reasons, we are very concerned about protecting all of the information
on the BEC because of its sensitive and personal nature. We use advanced
security methods that include multiple levels of password access, SSL encryption
of personal data, test responses, and assessment reports, off-line scoring
servers, and detailed behavioral analysis of the testing and security context by
experts in psychometrics and internet security. For this reason, we do not store
credit card data (which is the reason why credit card numbers must be entered
for each transaction, if this is your payment method). Symptom inventory reports
travel through encryption. The BEC is committed to proving that its security
model for professional testing surpasses that of any other testing method,
including paper and pencil.

Q: Does
the BEC require the use of cookies?
A: The BEC
does require the use of Cookies, but for session management only. BEC cookies
will be deleted at the end of your BEC session and will not be stored on your
computer.

Q: Can
I retrieve my password if I've forgotten it?
A: In
order to ensure a greater level of security, old passwords may not be retrieved.
However, you may go to the Administrator Sign-In page and follow the directions
to have a random temporary password e-mailed to you. You will be required to
change this the next time you log in to your account.

Q: What
information will you retain about me in your database?
A: Please
refer to the BEC
Privacy Policy for a
detailed explanation of this question.

Q: How
do I contact BEC for support?
A: E-mail
